Worden's Dairy

Worden's Milk Caps

Worden's Clock

Remember the Large Milk on the Roof of the Former Worden's Dairy on Cherry Street????
We wonder what happened to the bottle?? It was still on the Roof in the late 1970's!

I wonder what happened to the brass plaque that was placed on the outside wall of the State Theater on East Main Street to commemorate Rosalind Russell's visit to her home town for the world premiere of her movie The Girl Rush on Aug. 18, 1955. The theater was demolished in the late 80s for the construction of the Waterbury campus of the University of Connecticut.

I also remember the giant milk bottle that was on the roof of the Worden's Dairy building on Cherry St.

There's a small picture of it on the Worden's postcard you can see by clicking on the Worden's Postcard name at the top of this post.

From what I hear from a reliable
source the plaque is in the hands
of the current owner of the old
State Theater building, Mr.
Tim Moynihan. There was a movement
in Waterbury by another person to
restore it back to the original
location - om the old moriarty
building.
