J. Farrell MacDonald makes Waterbury Hall of Fame!

I'm Back after being too long away....

My newest post is to note the recent election of Waterbury born actor -
J. Farrell MacDonald election to the Silas Bronson's Waterbury Hall of Fame.

Spent nearly 3 years researching his life via the internet, books and letters to many
a film library in California.

J. Farrell MacDonald
(1875-1952)


J. Farrell MacDonald did over 300+ films. Besides Acting he was a director. He directed several of the early silent Wizard of OZ movies. Worked with and for Hal Roach. Played John Wayne's father in the early serial - Hurricane Express. Played the Bartender in Henry Fonda's film My Darling Clementine. One of his last roles was in the Superman TV Episode - The molemen.
