Waterbury Fireman of the Past

Hello World...

I've entered the 21st century and created a blog.

This blog will cover Waterbury. It's past (mostly..) and sometimes it present!

I wanted a place to post views of the great history of Waterbury both good and bad... A Place for local and faraway Waterbury Natives to reminisce about the Brass City...

Above you will see a photo of one of Waterbury's Bravest - George Corden

Mr. Corden was born in 1864 in Waterbury... He spent time as a fireman in the Brass City in the 1890's - early 1900's.

If you are interested in Waterbury Fire Department History there is a neat display of Waterbury fire memorabilia, photos etc at the Mattatuck Museum. The exhibit opened just this last week (early October) and run for a few months....

If you have an old photo of Waterbury that you'd like me to post drop us an email..

John
